The second music video from the Smashing Pumpkins album Adore was, Perfect. Billy’s vision for the music video was a squeal to 1979 according to director Jonathan Lipton, the basic premises of the video is it takes place 5 years later, with people on different paths. They were able to reunite 4 of the 5 original people who were in the 1979 video to recast their roles.
The scene where the band played in the video was at The Masque, an old punk club from the late 70’s. The idea of having Billy sing on large crane was because Billy was singing in the backseat of a car, he wanted to do something similar to that. Billy said his body went into “complete physical fear shock” from being so high.[youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VKYY8DxVZHE]
