Flashback Friday: G.L.O.W.

Sp_glowG.L.O.W (Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling) was the first track ever originally written for the video game Guitar Hero World Tour, which was released in late October of 2008. It first hit the airways via Chicago Q101 on September 29th 2008. The track wouldn’t be released until November 8th via iTunes as a “Digital 45” single along with Suprechrist. This would also be the last track recorded with drummer Jimmy Chamberlin.

The song has been played live only 30 times. Two of those times were for TV air, once on Jimmy Kimmel Live on October 24th 2008 and at the Spike Scream Awards on October 18th 2010.

On December 2nd, 2008 a music video for G.L.O.W., directed by Justin Coloma was released via MySpace.com.

The track was last played live on April 17th, 2010 at Space 15 Twenty (video below) for fans who had pre-ordered Teargarden vol 1 at the LA record store Amoeba Music. This was also Mike Byrne’s first show under the Smashing Pumpkins banner. This is also the only song Mike has played live as a Pumpkin that Nicole has yet to play live.
