Teargarden by Kaleidyscope volume 1 was available for pre-order at Amoeba records in LA on Record Store Day 2010. Fans who pre-order from this store would be treated with a concert by the Smashing Pumpkins later that day, just around the corner at Space 15 Twenty.
The band consisted of Billy Corgan, Jeff Schroeder, the late Mark Tulin and Mike Byrne. With special guests Ginger (former SP bassist) who played bass on Bullet with Butterfly Wings and Kerry Brown who played the conga drums on Ava Adore.
The setlist was a real treat for fans. It featured all 4-tracks from the new Teargarden vol 1 and songs that hadn’t been played in a pretty long time such as: Stumbleine (which hadn’t been played since August of ’98), Tristessa (which hadn’t been played since August of ’94), Along with first time known performance of Soot and Stars. The setlist also included the introduction of an unreleased song called “Baby” later re-titled as Tallulah Lu.
