Hurricane Sandy causes the Smashing Pumpkins Halloween show in New York City to be Postpone

Yesterday the Smashing Pumpkins announced on their Twitter and Facebook Page “The Smashing Pumpkins concert tomorrow night, October 31, at Barclays Center has been postponed due to the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. Ticket holders should keep their tickets for an upcoming rescheduled date. We will announce more information soon.”

Those with tickets also got an email from Ticketmaster saying “The Smashing Pumpkinsconcert scheduled to take place this Wednesday, October 31st at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn has been postponed due to the result of the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. Details on a rescheduled date will made available within the coming days.”

Assuming that the Smashing Pumpkins will get first chance at the next open date, the concert could occur as soon as Nov 6th-8th when looking at the Barclays Center calendar. But with all the promotion and free trips to New York that were promised it might be a little longer than that.
