When EMI announced it was going to reissue the Pumpkins’ entire back catalogue over the next few years, b-side collection Pisces Iscariot was slated, along with Gish and Siamese Dream, for a Fall 2011 (re)release. However, as ongoing reports on the work being done made their way from the studio, only a little was said about the progress on Pisces. In an interview with The Detroit News, writer Adam Graham reveals that Pisces is scheduled to be released on Record Store Day 2012 (which falls on April 21st, 2012). In addition to the rest of the band’s catalogue being reissued over the next few years, Graham also lists “a pair of solo acoustic albums Corgan recorded following the breakup of his post-Pumpkins outfit Zwan” due for late 2012 and 2013.
It was confirmed that a 2011 mix of Pisces Iscariot’s epic “Starla” will be released this Fall on the bonus disc included alongside the Gish reissue. As for the Pisces reissue, what material will appear on the ‘extras’ disc for what is essentially a collection of extras remains to be seen.
